Safe enough to relax. Warm enough to bloom.
You're trusting us with the most important person in your world. Here is, concretely, what we do with that trust.
Who's with your child
Every adult in the building — teachers, floaters, the chef — clears an FBI and CBI fingerprint background check, the Colorado child-abuse registry (TRAILS), and reference checks before their first day. All staff hold current pediatric CPR and first-aid certification, and our teachers average seven years at Meadowlark, so the faces your child loves are still here next year.
Ratios and licensing
We run at or better than Colorado licensing ratios: 1:4 in the infant room, 1:5 for toddlers, 1:8 in preschool, and 1:10 in Pre-K — with small total group sizes so rooms stay calm. We're licensed by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood; our license and latest inspection reports hang by the front door and we'll happily walk you through them.
The building
- Keypad + camera entry: only enrolled families and staff get in, and every visitor signs in with ID
- Cameras in every classroom and on the playground
- Fenced outdoor spaces checked every morning; monthly fire and lockdown drills, gently practiced as games
- Allergy-aware kitchen: nut-free building, posted allergy charts in every room, EpiPens with trained staff
Illness & medication
Our illness policy follows AAP guidance: fever-free and symptom-free 24 hours before returning. We'll always call you honestly — and we ask the same honesty back. Prescribed medications are administered only with signed authorization, logged dose by dose.
If something happens
Bumps and scrapes get love, an ice pack, and a same-day written report. Anything beyond a scrape gets a phone call within minutes, not a note at pickup. You will never be surprised at the end of the day — that's a promise.
